On December 18, 2015, Merck, KGaA, Darmstadt Germany’s deputy CEO Stefan Oschmann wrote a guest column in "Handelsblatt" explaining how it may be possible to eliminate neglected tropical diseases through continued research. Apart from mentioning important works this year by Nobel laureates in medicine, particularly river blindness and malaria research, he mentioned our commitment to help fight schistosomiasis.
