Looking to grow your career in Hometown?
Thank you for exploring a career opportunity in our Hometown site located in Schuylkill County, a rural coal region in northeastern Pennsylvania. The 375-acre site is the largest manufacturing site in our Electronics business. The facility was established in 1973 with 40 employees and has grown to over 300 employees and counting. We take great pride in our operations, from our safety practices to the quality and reliability of our products. Click here for more information on Hometown, PA.
Our team is leading the way towards a sustainable, data-driven future. We produce a variety of high-purity specialty gases and chemicals for semiconductor manufacturers around the world, including Tungsten Hexafluoride, WF6 and Nitrogen Trifluoride, NF3. Specialty gases are used in the doping, etching, cleaning and deposition processes to create a semiconductor wafer.
State-of-the-art R&D laboratory
Hometown also features a state-of-the-art R&D laboratory. The technology team consists of research chemists and engineers, laboratory technicians and specialists, scale-up engineers and analytical chemists. We synthesize and purify new molecules down to parts per billion impurity levels and below using the latest technologies available in the industry. These organometallic compounds are deposited on semiconductor wafers through cutting-edge technologies to test their performance for semiconductor applications. Our researchers can assess the applications for these new molecules and scale up the molecules to larger quantities for customer evaluation. Additionally, the facility is capable of small-volume manufacturing and advanced analytical and quality assessments.
We take great pride in knowing that almost all electronic devices are created with our technology, which is why we are behind the companies advancing digital living! If you’d like to join our team, apply today.
WF6 is used as a metallization source for the formation of tungsten interconnects between multiple layers in semiconductor devices. It is an important material in the production of both logic and memory (DRAM and NAND) devices. NF3 is primarily used for chamber cleaning of chemical vapor deposition reactors.
