As a Data Privacy Officer I am responsible for leading the implementation of the Privacy Program in my country and also ensure that local entities are compliant with internal policies and local and international privacy laws.

During my daily routine I am involved in multiple projects from completely different departments and stakeholders which is something that really motivates me.

Raising awareness about privacy topics within our company and being able to not only understand such complex businesses topics but also influence the decisions is also a part of a job as a Data Privacy Officer.Everyday new initiatives, challenges, ideas and discussions to ensure our company grows, besides raising awareness for data privacy topics.

I find it extremely rewarding to be able to make a difference in a leading science and technology company. Brazil is starting a new era in privacy with the establishment of our general Data Protection Law and our company is also writing a new chapter for its privacy organization. Leading this process in Brazil is challenging, but the reward is amazing, more than I could ever imagined.

As I am aware of the big difference I make, I can also see the results from my activities in our company, customers, patients and society.Another aspect of my job that I really appreciate is being part of such a diverse team formed by colleagues from all over the world. I It is being a terrific experience to be able to work in a global team and discuss data privacy with such high qualified colleagues with different cultural backgrounds.

Our company empowers its employees to challenge ourselves in order to achieve not only professional objectives but also personal goals, we are encouraged to pursue our development, but without letting the work-life balance aside, which is something quite developed within our company.

The diverse work environment, the career opportunities and being able to represent my country and my department in multiple forums with colleagues from other nationalities and backgrounds is something meaningful to me. I could not agree more with what I have heard during my job interview for the company: we are facing exciting times!
