I take over the responsibility as Senior Data Privacy Counsel and Country LDPO across all sectors in China (including Hong Kong), reporting directly to the global DPO. I am a part of the Legal and Compliance team. My primary office is in New Bund, Shanghai. I am responsible for driving data privacy and cyber security compliance in my country through providing timely advice to the business functions to support their strategy and objectives, performing awareness and trainings where necessary for added-value business support and managing risk assessment and risk mitigation against both local regulations and our group data privacy framework.

In order to efficiently fulfil my role, special expertise and collaboration with the business are needed most. And my job is a perfect school to greatly develop these skills and capabilities.As China is starting a very new era in data privacy and cyber security with the establishment of a broad international legal framework. It’s a big benefit to be a part of a diverse organization. Knowledge is not the only thing we share; we shared more good laughs. My job to offer many possibilities to develop and interact with outstanding people (many are scientists and lawyers!) across functions. This is another motivation. With new ideas, opportunities and challenges every day, life is never dull.
