Your role:

  • Leading the development and execution of HEOR strategic plans, tactical plans, and related budget related planning within the Neurology & Immunology franchise, reporting to the Neurology & Immunology Portfolio Lead of Health Economics and Outcomes Research.
  • Planning, driving and implementing the interdisciplinary, health economics and comparative effectiveness evidence generation plan that is consistent with the medical strategies. 
  • Constructing and delivering health economic and comparative effectiveness models and dossiers to demonstrate the value of EMD Serono’s products.
  • Planning, designing, implementing and completing real-world evidence (RWE) studies and/or analyses in close collaboration with medical colleagues.
  • Presenting health economics & outcomes research information to internal and external working groups, at advisory board meetings, at scientific congresses, etc. and participate in the development and writing of manuscripts for publication in peer-reviewed journals. 
  • Providing evidence-based, scientific support of local submissions (i.e. AMCP Dossier) and presentations (within assigned regions and/or accounts) to health technology appraisal, reimbursement (e.g., managed care) in the USA.

    Who you are:  

  • Degree in Medicine or Pharmaceutical Sciences, postgraduate qualification in Health Economics or Public Health / Health Services Research.
  • Minimum 7 years of practical experience in health economics and outcomes research, pharmaceutical industry, CRO, academia or other health related consulting company.
  • Strong conceptual, methodological, and analytical skills. Demonstration of comprehensive mastery of health economics and/or epidemiological statistical methodologies, as well as ability to apply such knowledge in a concrete business context to support patient access to therapy.
  • Strong communication skills are critical; this role will have regular communications and presentations to the cross functional team.
  • Excellent understanding of US payers (including commercial and government), market access and evidence-based medicine.
