The Chemical Synthesis franchise is a critical component of MilliporeSigma’s Lab and Specialty Chemical business. Historically known for its chemistry-enabling catalog of building blocks, reagents and catalysts, we are also finding new ways to support the advancement of our customers – from optimizing the availability of products globally to introducing innovative new products through collaborations to offering capabilities in retro-synthesis. Your role:

Within the Chemical Synthesis Franchise, the CORE Chemical Synthesis team supports portfolio growth through best practices in areas including Pricing, Availability and Convenience solutions. The portfolio is sizable, giving a lot of opportunity to implement scalable improvements that can make a significant impact to the business.

Who you are:  

A strong background in synthetic chemistry should be coupled with a scientific curiosity and keen interest in life sciences product management and marketing.

The role requires a combination of scientific expertise with business analysis experience. The successful candidate will be effective engaging with customers on technical topics, as well as cross-functionally collaborating internally to identify and execute improvements that support the CORE product portfolio.

  • PhD in Chemistry, with experience in synthetic organic chemistry.
  • Prior industry experience, especially in business disciplines e.g. marketing, product management, analytics, supply chain, viewed favorably.
  • Effective communicator who is fluent in written and spoken English
  • Proven analytical and problem solving skills; ability to work with large sets of data
  • 25% Travel should be expected
