As HR Business Partner you will partner with the Global Leadership of our Process Solutions Services business (BioReliance) and their teams – your key focus will be to enable the growth of this dynamic business within the Merck Life Science Process Solutions business. You will translate business requirements into HR processes and systems that deliver business results. You will deliver key HR processes: for example compensation reviews, talent management, succession planning, performance management, workforce planning as well as business organization development and maintenance, and anticipating global recruitment needs and employee relations issues. Through proactively managing HR internal stakeholders, you will support the HR transformation and work across business functions and countries within the HR service delivery model. You'll provide change management and organizational design and implementation support in the business evolution process. You'll also be a great coach to the leaders whom you support.
To accomplish all the above you'll have to get the best out of your partnership with our HR Centers of Excellence (i.e. recruitment, talent, comp&ben) by transferring business requirements and co-create customized solutions where required. You provide convincing analysis to support business decision-making and influence local HR Partners in selected countries in the matrix. Beyond this you may be involved in HR projects beyond your customer scope and champion specific HR processes/topics within the Global HR team for PS Services and E2E. As well as our global sites, your scope also includes acting as the local HR Head role for our sites in the Glasgow area.
Who you are:
•University Degree preferably in business, science or HR related fields, e.g., Organizational Development or equivalent discipline
•Minimum 5 years of HR Business Partner/Generalist experience including experience working in a global matrix organization
•HR Experience in Life Science or Pharmaceutical industry or scientic field preferred
•Sound understanding of UK Labour Relations Environment
•Strong business insight and curiosity to deep dive into the business to become a true partner
•Strong communication, presentation and influencing skills
•Proven Project Management experience
•Resourceful team player with can-do attitude, high learning agility, global mindset and intercultural awareness,
•Collaborative and comfortable with virtual environments
•Fluency in English
