GOglobal Program:

This 2-year graduate program is designed to attract high potential graduates and give them challenging opportunities that prepare them for future complex roles. The program encompasses rotations within and across functions in an accelerated learning environment. This includes international assignments, extended leadership mentoring, formal training and personal and professional development.

Your role:

In the course of the 24-months individual rotation plan, you have the opportunity to get to know multiple aspects of Finance at Merck and to build a strong companywide network. During the first year in Darmstadt, Germany, you will experience the activities in different Controlling and Accounting areas which deepen your understanding of the business and the requirements for the Finance function. Alongside the support of the daily business you will also have the opportunity to take ownership for interesting projects in the Finance area.

In the subsequent 12-months assignment in one of our entities abroad, you will be assigned to our local CFO organization. Acting as a member of the local team you will be responsible for processes and management support within your local area of responsibility and also expand your cross-cultural competence.

Start of the Program: March 2018

Who you are:

  • Master's degree (or equivalent), ideally with a focus on Accounting and Financial Controlling
  • Outstanding academic performance (top scores)
  • First practical experiences in Finance, preferably in the Accounting and Financial Controlling function, via industrial internships
  • Sound financial knowledge and analytical skills as well as efficient and result-oriented work attitude
  • International experience
  • Fluency in English and a second language (German language skills are a plus)
  • High motivation and passion to discover solutions to all kinds of exciting challenges
