Your Role: As part of the Elixir project, this position primarily focuses on issues pertaining to global deposition materials business. This includes design and development of new containers, new metrology tools, scientific testing and failure analysis processes and addresses other customer issues towards improving customer relationships. As an Engineering technician, the candidate will work very closely with process and design engineers to test new containers for various processes. He will also work with technicians and with other departments from research and development (R&D), Environmental Health and Safety (EH&S), and procurement.

The primary job functions of this position include

  1. Conduct tests on newly designed containers specific to materials and customer processes
  2. Operate safely and independently gas phase metrology tool with minimum supervision
  3. Participate in design reviews, to provide container related input into overall product offering
  4. Assist in developing processes and procedures needed to provide effective control in container preparation and handling
  5. Maintain detailed records of test data
  6. Responsible for critical spare parts inventory
  7. Maintain and repair equipment
  8. Perform all tasks and handle all chemicals to our strict safety standards

The candidate is expected to possess the following qualifications;

  1. High School Diploma/ Associate Degree in Engineering
  2. 5+ years of industrial experience
  3. Basic understanding of vacuum components such as pumps/gauges/valves and MFCs
  4. Strong mechanical aptitude with a good knowledge of electronics
  5. Familiarity with MS Office and other similar software
