Role Purpose:

  • Responsible for forecasting and planning for the cluster so as to develop aggregated supply and inventory plans, including RCCP’s that are balanced and can meet the high fulfillment and operational targets of the business

MAJOR KEY RESULT AREAS:

  1. Demand Planning
  • Collaborates with cross-functional stakeholders to deliver an accurate, robust and timely 18-months rolling sales forecast taking into consideration new launches, product promotions, marketing, sales and phase-in/out plans
  • Ensures the demand planning software tool is correctly configured, updated, maintained, accurate and available for use by key users and top management for decision making
  • Prepares the consensual demand plan in accordance with the CH Asia DP calendar and activities
  • Drives the Demand Review and Financial Gap-Fill review
  • Ensures that significant within-the-month forecast changes are communicated
  • Conducts Root Cause Analysis for forecast failure and identify corrective actions
  • Implements Best Practises as part of continuous improvement

 

  1. Supply Planning
  • Produces robust business replenishment supply plans to support sales forecasts which satisfy customer service objectives whilst minimising inventory carrying costs
  • Ensures the replenishment planning software is maintained regularly as to plan accurately and available for use
  • Optimises stock holding levels within the total supply chain through a detailed understanding of the key planning parameters and end-to-end process (lead times, MOQ/EOQ, supply reliability, demand variability, service objectives etc.) and in line with Working Capital targets
  • Works closely with suppliers, freight forwarders, 3PL vendors and regulatory function to ensure timely shipment and delivery of supplies for sales and exceeds customer service level target
  • Responsible for the issuance and transmittal of Approved Purchase Order and coordination with suppliers for timely supply replenishment

 

  1. Inventory Management
  • Set the market’s planning parameters based on inventory management tools
  • Non-working inventory management in collaboration with Commercial
  • Determine inventory strategies to drive down inventories
  1. Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP)
  • Drives the local Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process by working across internal and external functional areas to assure that demand, supply and financial plans are aligned and that proper communication regarding significant current/potential supply performance problems are communicated to the appropriate stakeholders in a timely manner for mitigation consensus
  • Implements Best Practises as part of continuous improvement
  1. New Product Introduction
  • Ensures new products are in the demand plan with the appropriate lead-time
  • Works with the production suppliers or customer service to ensure that the optimal acceptable MOQ, shipment mode, lead time, correct unit costs are in place
  • Manages stock level for new products launch and discontinuations – phase ins/phase outs
  • Conducts post-mortem for every NPI and documents lessons learned to avoid recurrences
  1. Master Data Maintenance
  • Creates, maintains and deletes material master data in local ERP and Master Data Governance-Materials (MDG-M) systems as needed
  1. Export Management
  • Manages the entire export activities from the contract manufacturer to the international customers from planning, supply adherence, shipment and export coordination

 

  1. Performance Responsibility
  • To provide shipment visibility to Commercial well in advance for any known incoming shipments
  • Manage phase in/phase out in collaboration with Commercial
  • To liaise with the relevant freight forwarders to ensure shipment optimization
  • Accountability includes overall Stock availability, overall Inventory performance (incl. SLOBS), Supply Plan Adherence, forecast performance, inventory provisions and writeoffs
  1. Perform any ad-hoc jobs as assigned by management

EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum Bachelor Degree in any discipline, preferably Supply Chain & Logistics Management
  • Requires a minimum of 5 years of inventory planning and management experience
  • Consumer Goods or Pharmaceutical industry desired
  • APICS / CPIM or equivalent supply chain professional certification
  • Lean six sigma experience/ knowledge

  • Self-starter with highly effective interpersonal and influencing skills required to build and maintain working relationships at all levels
  • Positive attitude, result oriented, competent and a good team-player with a customer focus mindset
  • Independent, high integrity, lots of personal initiatives and demonstrated ability to work under pressure
  • Strong numerate analytics, problem solving and negotiation skills
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, both oral and written English
  • Ability to plan and prioritize own workload and effectively make decisions
  • Possesses costs management and reduction culture mentality
  • Computer literate. Good knowledge of MS-Excel and MS-PowerPoint
