Your role: An exciting new opportunity has arisen to join MilliporeSigma as a Senior Patent Counsel. Reporting to the Head of Patents, Life Science, you will be responsible for the prosecution, obtainment and enforcement of a select portfolio of intellectual property related to one or more of the businesses as well as provide consultation to Research& Development and Business partners on a variety of complex patent issues and ensureing the freedom to operate for all new products and processes. Must have a deep patent prosecution and preparation experience, exhibit a strong business orientation, be capable of independently managing and working one's prosecution portfolio and exhibit strong communication skills.

Who you are:

  • BS or higher in Science; Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Biomedical Device Engineering preferred
  • JD from an ABA recognized Law School
  • US Patent Office Registered Attorney
  • 5+ years of active patent prosecution experience
  • English proficiency required
  • Ability to communicate in another language, especially German, helpful but not required.
