Sales Representative in Life Science

Your role:

Achieve sales/growth targets, in assigned territory through proactive customers contact

Your primary responsibilities are:

  • Proactively contact customers, identify their needs, present value oriented solutions and generate opportunities to exceed sales targets & ensure sustainable & profitable growth.
  • Make sales/ technical presentations at sales meetings and customer locations. 
  • Provide primary technical support / trouble shooting for Merck Bioscience portfolio to customers. 
  • Travel as needed to maintain relationships and identify new contacts and opportunities
  • Contribute to shaping & execution of territory plans.
  • Mapping key contacts, key labs, key decision makers, etc & utilize available tools and resources to share market knowledge
  • Provide monthly updates detailing progress on sales, justifies variances and indicates corrective action needed and/or taken.
  • Participate in both product and sales training to maintain critical product and market knowledge.

    Who you are:

  • Education: BS in Biology or Molecular Biology. Postgraduate degree is an asset
  • Minimum of two years experience on sales of products related with Bioscience research
  • Understanding of customers, market needs, and competition in the Bioschence market
  • Knowledge of basic principles of molecular biology theories and concepts. 
  • Excellent selling skills including relationship management, prospecting, pipeline management, negotiating and closing.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.
  • Able to work autonomously and collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Ability to travel as needed
