An exciting opportunity has arisen to join EMD Serono's Global Transparency Operations (GTO) Team as Associate Director, Global Transparency Infrastructure & Reporting. The GTO Team drives the strategic evolution of, and provides centralized governance over, the enterprise-wide infrastructure supporting compliant interactions with HCPs, HCOs, Patients, & Patient Organizations. By developing, implementing and continuously improving harmonized processes, standardized data elements and integrated systems, the GTO enables the business to operate efficiently and expands capacities to meet increasingly complex global disclosure reporting requirements facing the Healthcare and Life Science business sectors.
As Associate Director, Global Transparency Infrastructure & Reporting, you will leverage your in-depth understanding of US federal and state HCP/HCO disclosure reporting requirements, your broad knowledge of pharmaceutical business operations and your expertise in managing and analyzing large, complex datasets to maintain governance over the flow of data and related processes from over 20 integrated sources feeding our US aggregate spend reporting tool (AGS360.)
In addition, you will be instrumental in implementing and supporting a similar data governance infrastructure to feed our global installation of AGS60 and support HCP/HCO disclosure reporting required by multiple countries within a rapidly growing list of regions (EFPIA, APAC, LATAM, etc.)
Finally, you will also monitor, communicate and plan for regulatory and local code changes impacting any aspect of our global transparency infrastructure or disclosure reporting process (US and Ex US).
Who you are:
You will be responsible for generating, validating and submitting timely and accurate US federal and state HCP/HCO disclosure reports for the Healthcare and Life Science business sectors, including preparing supporting analytics to enable management review. You will establish and maintain data governance best practices, including end-to-end management of data quality errors and work with internal and external stakeholders to determine root causes, requirements and resolution. You will contribute to and/or lead work streams of GTO related projects, including scoping, identifying business requirements and testing.
In order to succeed in this role, you are:
- Exceptionally organized, articulate, and enterprising professional with a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree and at least 7 years pharmaceutical industry experience;
- Creative problem solver who thoroughly understands US federal and state laws related to HCP/HCO disclosure reporting requirements with a talent for understanding complex issues and applying process, technology and data insights to achieve results (knowledge of global transparency requirements a significant plus);
- Critical thinker with advanced analytical skills who is extremely proficient in Microsoft Suite data management tools: Access and Advanced Excel (Pivot Tables and formulas)
- Quick learner who is highly motivated to tackle complex challenges and accept progressive responsibilities.
- Independent self-starter with the ability to work effectively both alone and with cross-functional teams
- Occasional global traveler (anticipate limited travel to Europe)
