Your Role:  Packages and ships Hitech specialty chemical compounds to meet the demands and requirements of company customers.

 

2nd Shift:   (Monday - Friday)  2:00 pm - 10:30 pm.

$19.25+  an hour

Essential Job Functions

  • Sets up, uses and cleans required equipment, tools and materials
  • Assemble containers and components for portioning process.  Assure they are correct
  • Conduct housekeeping tasks following set-up to assure cleanliness of assembled equipment
  • Order and stock necessary supplies to suppport operations
  • Portion air sensitive chemicals into containers under safe production conditions
  • Assemble and don required safety equipment specified by protocol
  • Verify and complete required paperwork and documentation
  • Check and update systems and SAP as required
  • Maintain records for accountability and procedure traceability
  • Record all calculations and conversions necessary to process paperwork
  • Participates in testing and implementation of changes
  • Wear the appropriate personal protective equipment inclusive of steel-toed safety shoes
  • Maintain, clean, and keep safe all work areas and equipment
  • Take necessary steps to assure we provide our customers with the highest quality possible
  • Immediately report any situation that could compromise safety or quality
  • Miscellaneous duties and tasks as assigned

 

Who you are:

Basic Qualifications

  • HS Diploma or GED required
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Mechanical aptitude.
  • Basic mathematical skills.
  • Ability to read and understand written protocols.

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • AS Chemistry or Science related associate degree (chemical technician) or 2 yrs college chemistry desired.
  • Experience working in a chemistry-related environment desired.
  • Ability to operate forklift or hand pallet truck.
  • Basic understanding of chemical reactions and hazards.
  • Ability to operate hand tools, lab equipment, calculator and weighing and measuring devices.
  • Basic understanding of ISO and quality systems
