Your primary area of focus would be on independently performing LCMS testing, including structural interpretation, in support of customer validation projects as well as performing technical review on LCMS, GCMS, HPLC, TOC, NVR, and FTIR data in a GMP environment. A secondary area of focus will be on troubleshooting LCMS, GCMS, HPLC, TOC, and FTIR instruments in addition to mentoring others on these techniques.
Who You Are:
The candidate must be able to generate, revise, and follow written Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and protocols in a GMP environment. The position will require timely handling of data, generating summary reports, and real-time recording of data on laboratory worksheets and equipment logs. You must be able work well in a group or individually as duty necessitates. You will have demonstrated leadership/mentoring in your past so that you are able to train and mentor lesser experienced chemists. You will be able to represent the department and company at cross-functional meetings, customer meetings, and conferences.
- Bachelors’ Degree in Chemistry (Preferred: Master’s Degree in Chemistry with a focus on Analytical and/or Organic Chemistry)
- At least 4 years of professional laboratory experience including the techniques listed in the previous section with at least two years of experience using LCMS systems (Bruker LCMS software experience is preferred)
- Sound MS Office Suite skills
- Able to travel Nationally and Internationally
- Safe and proper handling of various chemicals
- Meticulous attention to detail and safe work practices
- Comprehensive reading and writing of the English language
