Your Role: We are looking for a modern SEO who is a proven problem solver and decision maker, with the ability to prioritize and develop relevant and engaging content. The SEO Specialist will analyze websites for improvements, have an in-depth knowledge of keyword research, understand SEO copywriting and serve a liaison between various departments.

Who you are:

  • Perform SEO site audits to identify issues affecting performance, including page depth, crosslinking and redirects.
  • Use a variety of tools, including Screaming Frog, Brightedge, AHREFs to diagnose site health issues and content opportunities
  • Conduct content gap analyses and develop content creation strategies/roadmaps
  • Monitor Google/Bing Webmaster Tools accounts regularly for crawling and indexing issues
  • Apply, and be able to explain, SEO best practices for site navigation, internal links (including anchor text optimization), and HTML sitemaps to client websites
  • Prioritize website issues and manage timelines for correcting problems
  • Brief stakeholders on the results of SEO audits. Explain SEO concepts and best practices
  • Execute tests, collect and analyze data and results, identify trends and insights in order to achieve maximum ROI
  • Track, report, and analyze website analytics and campaigns
  • Optimize copy and landing pages for search engine marketing
  • Perform ongoing keyword discovery, expansion and optimization
  • Research and implement search engine optimization recommendations
  • Research and analyze competitor content strategies
  • Develop and implement link building strategy
  • Work with the development team to ensure SEO best practices are properly implemented on newly developed code
  • Work with editorial and marketing teams, category managers and product management to drive SEO in content creation and content programming
  • Recommend changes to website architecture, content, linking and other factors to improve SEO positions for target keywords.

Requirements

  • Proven SEO experience
  • Solid understanding of performance marketing, conversion, and online customer acquisition
  • In-depth experience with website analytics tools (e.g, Google Analytics, NetInsight, Omniture, WebTrends, Brightedge)
  • Experience with A/B and multivariate experiments
  • Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript development and constraints
  • Knowledge of ranking factors and search engine algorithms
  • Up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in SEO and SEM
  • BS/MS degree in a quantitative, test-driven field
