Your Role: We are looking for a modern SEO who is a proven problem solver and decision maker, with the ability to prioritize and develop relevant and engaging content. The SEO Specialist will analyze websites for improvements, have an in-depth knowledge of keyword research, understand SEO copywriting and serve a liaison between various departments.
Who you are:
- Perform SEO site audits to identify issues affecting performance, including page depth, crosslinking and redirects.
- Use a variety of tools, including Screaming Frog, Brightedge, AHREFs to diagnose site health issues and content opportunities
- Conduct content gap analyses and develop content creation strategies/roadmaps
- Monitor Google/Bing Webmaster Tools accounts regularly for crawling and indexing issues
- Apply, and be able to explain, SEO best practices for site navigation, internal links (including anchor text optimization), and HTML sitemaps to client websites
- Prioritize website issues and manage timelines for correcting problems
- Brief stakeholders on the results of SEO audits. Explain SEO concepts and best practices
- Execute tests, collect and analyze data and results, identify trends and insights in order to achieve maximum ROI
- Track, report, and analyze website analytics and campaigns
- Optimize copy and landing pages for search engine marketing
- Perform ongoing keyword discovery, expansion and optimization
- Research and implement search engine optimization recommendations
- Research and analyze competitor content strategies
- Develop and implement link building strategy
- Work with the development team to ensure SEO best practices are properly implemented on newly developed code
- Work with editorial and marketing teams, category managers and product management to drive SEO in content creation and content programming
- Recommend changes to website architecture, content, linking and other factors to improve SEO positions for target keywords.
- Proven SEO experience
- Solid understanding of performance marketing, conversion, and online customer acquisition
- In-depth experience with website analytics tools (e.g, Google Analytics, NetInsight, Omniture, WebTrends, Brightedge)
- Experience with A/B and multivariate experiments
- Knowledge of ranking factors and search engine algorithms
- Up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in SEO and SEM
- BS/MS degree in a quantitative, test-driven field
