Your role: As a Senior Middleware Analyst you will provide support for Production public ECommerce platforms and support the back-end applications including troubleshooting & performance evaluation using testing & monitoring tools such as ALM, APMs such as DynaTrace, Nagios and other custom toolsets. You will have Middleware ownership, often coordinating several development teams, dependencies to diagnose problems across tiers and support teams. This role also includes managing deployments, upgrades, coordinating with infrastructure teams. Collaboration with offshore team members & teams in other timezones. Automation & monitoring via APM tools, shell scripting, unit testing and other scripting tools. You will also perform builds/deploys, assisting with version control and release testing. Moving release processes towards a model of continuous development & integration using tools such as Jenkins, JIRA, BitBucket, pipelines, CI and other DevOps fundamentals. Ability to quickly learn & understand sometimes open-source or community frameworks & functionality as they are released is key.
Who you are:
- Working knowledge of Java application server mgmt. (e.g. WebSphere, Wildfly)
- Application containerization (e.g. Docker, Google/GKE, Kubernetes)
- Networking firewall, load balancing concepts pertaining to enterprise application support (e.g. HA, DMZ)
- Basic Unix administration tasks including shell scripting, other scripting ideal (e.g. Perl)
- Database interaction, including NoSQL (e.g. Cassandra)
- Messaging & ESB management (e.g. MQSeries, ActiveMQ, Apache Camel, IBM Message Broker ,Kafka)
