Under the direction of the Supervisor or designated assignee, conducts functional testing of photoresists, ancillary chemicals, raw materials, and in-process materials using semiconductor processing equipment in a class 100 cleanroom. Keeps proper documentation, and observes all safety practices. Reports results of experiments and tests including basic analysis of data using computer software such as Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, SAP and quality system software. May work in teams with other groups for testing of new products and methods.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Carries out functional testing of production and test request samples on second shift using semiconductor processing and metrology equipment in a Class 100 cleanroom following documented work instructions and safety practices.
- Coats silicon wafers with photoresists and other organic materials to use for measuring film thickness, photospeed, optical, and physical properties of materials in support of production and other departments.
- Utilizes a variety of sophisticated equipment including coat and develop tracks, lithographic exposure tools, reflectometers and ellipsometers, automated goniometer, and Surfscan particle detection equipment.
- Disposes of waste sample materials and containers following established safety procedures.
Who You Are
Requires two year degree in a science related field such as Chemistry or Engineering and 2 + years’ experience in the chemical or semiconductor industry or 4 + years’ directly related experience. Recent BS Degrees will be considered.
