The Specialty Accounts Business Field within the Semiconductor Solutions Business Unit supports material solutions for high performing IC Manufacturers in the Communications, Automotive, and IOT segments. We emphasize customer intimacy and strong operations support to provide value to strategically selected customers in high growth segments that are not always served by Moore’s Law tech node innovations. 

Your role:

The Business Development Manager is focused on closing sales opportunities within the specific Product Segments of Advanced Remover and Core Photoresists for EMD’s Specialty Accounts. The role requires you to manage tactical and strategic sales opportunities and support the Account Managers to close sales opportunities. You are the expert in product uses, customer needs, and customer decision making for your Product Segment. This position will work with Account Management and Product Management to define and deliver value propositions for tactical and strategic opportunities. Identify and defend against potential competitive threats to our business.

Who you are:  

The ideal candidate possesses a technical background in photolithography and/or polymer removal processes. Additionally, the person needs to possess customer facing sales and/or marketing experience. The ideal candidate uses their strong written and verbal communication skills to clearly communicate to all levels within the organization, and uses their organizational skills to manage time-sensitive action items to completion. Strong project management skills are required to lead cross-company and internal tactical projects to address account needs. This person uses their strong computer skills to execute the required tactical elements of the role such as forecasting, corrective action management, and sales analyses.

  • BS in a technical degree, MBA desirable.
  • Excellent communication skills, 5+ years prior experience in an account management role, early career experience in lithography engineering, R&D, or technical marketing positions.
  • Direct photolithography and/or whet resist stripping process experience.
  • 30-40% travel, with some international travel to Europe and Asia.
