Your role: As the General Accounting Operations Manager in a global Shared Service Center, you oversee and managed the operations of the A2R General Accounting organization to ensure realization of service delivery objectives within set guidelines/policies. 4- 6 Team Leads will directly report to this position with an approximate 40+ team members. The functions involved managing the, General Ledger Operations & sub ledger-teams of Fixed Assets, Inventory and Payroll Accounting, wherein all work streams provide accounting services for APAC, EMEA and North America region.
The role includes also managing team to provide internal customers with financial data/reports, manage accounting processes, post to the general ledger, handle payroll and benefits, maintain master data and reconcile/maintain accounts.
In addition, you will be responsible to ensure the team completes preparation of financial statements in accordance to IFRS during Closing process, performing financial analysis and (pre-)audit tasks and account reviews.
As the GL Operations Manager, you will also be involved in the decisions pertaining to support on transformation projects such as allocating resources to project requirements and the main contact of the transformation team for operational process discussion and project activities.
You handle 2nd level escalations, perform client management activities such as SLA reporting for the team performance.
In addition, you’ll be a proponent of process improvements within your area and proposed and implement ideas to realize efficiencies within the team.
You leverage your expertise to constantly seek out better ways of performing processes, to contribute to process excellence initiatives, to support operational performance reporting activities and to ensure qualification, motivation and development of your team leaders and team members.
Who you are:
- Bachelors degree in Finance & Accounting or related field required
- Master’s Degree in Finance / Accounting or CMA / CPA license preferred
- 4-5 yrs. of experience in General Ledger Accounting in an operation management position
- With US GAAP and IFRS background
- Experience in handling Finance and Accounting projects and transitions/migrations.
- Proven results of building and organizing teams
- Profound accounting knowledge required
- Extensive experience of Operations Management within a Shared Services Center preferred
- Excellent client / stakeholder management skills
- Experience with SAP systems or other ERP system required
- Fluent English language skills required
