Your Role: We are looking for an experienced Operational Excellence Manager for our Carlsbad site (CA). She / He must be able to manage and lead continuous improvement activities at one or several sites achieving quality, cost, delivery and safety improvements. In particular, we are seeking for an individual with strong lean expertise. It is essential that the candidate has a positive record of accomplishment in implementing and inspiring an organization of continuous improvement. The candidate will lead their own improvement projects, coach other individuals leading lean projects, support the local management team in achieving a continuous improvement culture, participate in global projects and actively seek and share best practices in the network. The candidate will report to the Head of Operational Excellence of the AEM (API, Excipients and Cell Media) cluster.
Who You Are:
- Proven demonstration in application of Lean Six Sigma tools
- Excellent leadership, facilitation, and communication skills (English)
- Ability to influence with indirect or no authority
- Ability to work with employees at all levels of the organization
- Ability to teach and coach
- Prefer Lean and Six Sigma Black Belt Certification
- Self-starter with excellent organization skills
- Bachelor's Degree
- Ability to travel up to 30%
- Lean Manufacturing experience
- 5+ Years' experience
- Strong Project Management skills
- Mentoring Experience
- Six Sigma Project Experience
