Your role: Provides legal advice and represents the organization in interfacing with relevant taxation agencies. Monitors potential impact of tax legislation and formulates tax savings plans to alleviate or reduce an increased tax burden. Primary lead for all State tax audits (Income, Sales and Use, Property and Other Various Taxes).
• Assist with quarterly and year end closing process.
• Prepare and review annual State Corporate Income tax returns.
• Identifies and resolves technical, operational and organizational problems as required.
• Working knowledge of State and Local Tax incentives.
• Addresses various other tasks as required.
• Ability to collaborate and communicate results with different teams to achieve objectives within the area and have the ability to meet quality and volume objectives in a timely manner.
Who you are: Requires a graduate degree (preferably MST) that provides knowledge of theories, principles and concepts within the corporate tax discipline. Requires substantial professional experience (approximately 6-10 years). Requires senior knowledge and experience in own discipline. Requires extensive relevant computer skills (Excel, Word, BNA, SAP, Oracle, OneSource, CorpTax software systems).
