The Chemical Synthesis franchise is a critical component of MilliporeSigma’s Lab and Specialty Chemical business. This business has been market-leading and well-respected among customers. Your role: This role is within the Chemical Synthesis franchise, leading a team of product managers that support portfolio growth through the principles of ‘Getting the Basics Right’ –focusing in areas including Pricing, Availability and Convenience & Bulk solutions. Given the sizable product portfolio, there are opportunities to implement scalable improvements that can really make a significant impact to the business.
Who you are:
A strong leader, with a background in synthetic chemistry should be coupled with a scientific curiosity and keen interest in life sciences product management and marketing is strongly preferred.
The role requires a combination of leadership, business and scientific expertise. The successful candidate will be effective at cross-functionally collaborating to identify and champion efforts that will benefit the CORE product portfolio, as well as being effective at engaging with customers or vendor partners.
- BS degree 8+ years professional experience
- Degree in Chemistry with experience in synthetic organic chemistry strongly preferred; PhD or Masters preferred
- Industry experience, especially in business disciplines e.g. product management, supply chain or a role that interfaced heavily with supply chain, marketing strongly desired
- Effective communicator who is fluent in written and spoken English
- Data-driven approach with proven analytical and problem-solving skills
- Leadership experience
- 10-20% Travel possible
