Your Role: The Facilities Engineer (Maintenance Mechanic III) is responsible for providing equipment and facilities maintenance support to ensure efficient upstream and downstream manufacturing operations. This includes troubleshooting and repairing facility and manufacturing mechanical and electrical systems and equipment in compliance with SOP’s and company procedures; conducting preventive maintenance and routine testing of water treatment, mechanical, electrical and automation systems.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • Perform routine preventive maintenance on production equipment using approved Work Instructions.
  • Perform troubleshooting tasks on production equipment using equipment repair manuals.
  • Perform corrective maintenance on production equipment using equipment repair manuals.
  • Perform non-routine tasks as assigned by supervisor.
  • Be available for early, late and overtime hours. On rare occasions, work Saturday and/or Sunday.
  • Operate plant equipment using approved Work Instructions and/or Equipment Operating Manuals.
  • Be available to stand weekly duty for after hour alarms.
  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience
  • KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

  • Able to communicate clearly and understand instructions.
  • Able to read and understand Work Instructions.
  • Able to use hand tools and test equipment.
  • Able to use equipment manuals to operate, troubleshoot, repair and determine part numbers of repair parts for equipment.
  • Ability to lead multiple projects
  • Have a maintenance background including but not limited to;
    1. Electrical troubleshooting and repair,
    2. Mechanical troubleshooting and repair,
    3. Hydraulic troubleshooting and repair,
    4. Pneumatic troubleshooting and repair.
    5. Basic carpentry skills
    6. Basic plumbing skills
    7. Able to perform assigned tasks with minimal supervision.
    8. Able to navigate the internet with a high degree of success to obtain equipment repair procedures, part numbers and information required to locate vendors of repair parts.

Job requires both written and oral skills in communicating with others and receiving instruction
