The Chemical Synthesis franchise is a critical component of MilliporeSigma’s Lab and Specialty Chemical business. This business has been market-leading and well-respected among customers. Your role: This role owns the Demand Generation strategy for the Chemical Synthesis portfolio and leads a team of demand generation product managers to identify and execute global opportunities to ensure our product portfolio is findable and visible along the customer’s buying journey. This includes channel marketing, content marketing, product information optimization, PPC advertising, customer profiling, and lead generation. There is a significant emphasis on scalable, digital approaches to generating demand.

The role collaborates with the Chemical Synthesis product management team and interfaces with Digital Marketing, Marketing Communications, Regional Marketing & Sales roles to ensure alignment and clear communication internally and customer-facing.

Who you are:  A strong leader, with experience in synthetic chemistry, digital marketing and analytics that is coupled with a curiosity and a keen interest in life sciences product management. The role requires a combination of leadership, business and scientific expertise. The successful candidate will be effective at cross-functionally collaborating to identify and champion efforts to excite internal audiences about Chemical Synthesis as well as generate demand for this product portfolio.

  • BS degree 8+ years professional experience
  • Degree in Chemistry with experience in synthetic organic chemistry strongly preferred; PhD or Master’s preferred
  • Industry experience, especially in product management and marketing strongly preferred
  • Effective communicator who is fluent in written and spoken English
  • Data-driven approach with proven analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Leadership experience
  • 10-20% Travel possible
