PURPOSE OF THE POSITION

 

Deploy, support and upgrade of Windows/Intel based Desktops, Laptops, Application and software’s, Mobile Device Management, Printer support and Good procurement knowledge.

 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

 

  • Provide day-to-day support for physical and virtual Windows/Intel based Desktops, Laptops and Application S/W.
  • Install and commission new Windows/Intel based Desktop solutions in accordance with operating procedures.
  • Assist with providing support for Windows and network Administrator, Symantec Endpoint Protection and other IT infrastructure platforms as required.
  • Hands on Experience on supporting MAC OS and SAP printers will be added advantages.
  • Ensure all IT areas are maintained in a clean and tidy condition, in compliance with H&S recommendations.
  • Install and configure new hardware and software as required, ensuring accurate reporting of software usage, ensure licenses are obtained through correct channels prior to performing installation and accurate maintenance of asset records after installation.
  • Ensure compliance with all IT polices and standards.
  • Monitor systems and resolve issues or potential problems.
  • Assist with output device support and optimization.
  • Flexible for Rotational shifts and Travel
  • Participate in Global IT teams, initiatives or projects as required.
  • Experience on Back up tools.
  • Good knowledge of procurement process and Audit
  • Good at English and Japanese Language (Read, write and speak).

     

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

 

Education:

Bachelor’s Degree / 3 years Diploma in CSE, IT, ETC

 

Experience:

 

Good technical experience working as Desktop Support Engineer, Supporting Enterprise Users Windows operating systems and software. (Probably gained over a minimum of 4-5 years)

Reasonable understanding of the general IT industry and best working practices.

Relies on defined procedures, guidelines and limited personal experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.

Typically reports to a team leader or supervisor

 

 

Essential and Critical Skills:

Solid IS technical support diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.   Excellent written and oral communications skills using the telephone, E-mail or in person.  Strong customer service skills.  The ability to work well as part of a team. This person will be determined, adaptable, approachable and diplomatic.  They will have the ability to prioritize workload, work under pressure and deliver tasks on schedule without constant supervision. Good written and spoken English and Japanese.
