Your role: Join our dynamic and fast evolving Medical Affairs team in Belgium and experience the joy of working within a Science & Technology company. In alignment with the Medical Director, you have the medical responsibility of the Oncology & Immunology therapeutic area in Belgium. In this role you will be field based and office based. You will provide medical expertise to ensure the proper development of new products and the optimal positioning of existing products and support the global therapeutic area strategy. You establish medical as co-leader of the Business Unit strategy by supporting brand teams organization. You also establish and maintain the scientific image and reputation of the company, being a key binding function between science and business in the local market. In this role you will focus on implementation of medical strategies, i.e. realization of the value-creating contribution of medical affairs. You will communicate trends and innovations identified in the market, e.g. in your interactions with Key Thought Leaders, to Medical Affairs and Commercial colleagues. You build Key Thought Leader relationships: serve as scientific information source, train external speakers, organize scientific events including advisory boards and facilitate continuous medical education. You will involve KTLs in Phase IV clinical trials and collaborate with them on Investigator Sponsored trials. You will ensure appropriate patient support services are established. In this role you will have the opportunity to establish and develop contacts within the company' Local, Regional and Global lead team counterparts as well as within Local Medical Team (MD and peers).
Who you are
- You have a medical /scientific background
- You gained 5+ years’ experience in Medical Affairs
- You have experience in Oncology as well as an existing network in this therapeutic area in Belgium
- You enjoy having a mix of field-based and office-based focus
- You are fluent in English, as well as in Dutch or French
- You have excellent communication skills and are a team player, able to greatly collaborate and navigate across functions
