This senior scientist will be responsible for performing cell culture studies to explore the understanding of raw materials impact in bioprocesses. The position will report to the Head of Cell Culture Raw Materials within the Upstream R&D department. You will design and execute cell culture experiments, at multiple scale. You will develop and establish testing methodologies to understand metabolic pathways for cell culture nutrients. You will also work on research and customer projects to deepen the understanding of raw material variability in cell culture processes. You also demonstrate technical proficiency and scientific creativity.
Who You Are:
- A PhD in biochemistry/molecular/cellular biology or a related field.
- A minimum of 2 years related experience; may include post-doctoral experience
- Proficiency in designing complex cell culture experiments
- Demonstration of scientific writing through peer reviewed journal articles. This is desired as the person will be establishing method protocols generating reports.
- Excellent communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills.
