Your role: You will manage the relationship between Life Sciences IT and a number of partner business functions working for the Life Sciences division (Strategy & Business Development, Human Resources, Finance & Controlling, and Communication).
This role is critical for identifying, influencing, and delivering innovative IT solutions, aligned to the partner functions’ business expectations, and ensuring that service levels are met.
Who you are: Curious and proficient in both business and IT matters, you are able to understand and review business requirements and recommend technological solutions that can be integrated and deployed in the environment. You can identify key business processes and the technologies that support them, document the interrelationship of businesses and technologies, to outline dependencies and risks. Finally, you are able to evaluate the cost effectiveness and potential benefits of proposed interventions versus alternative options. Your interpersonal skills and thoughtful leadership allow you to build the needed relationships and rapport with your business and IT colleagues.
- Bachelor’s degree with focus in a business discipline such as Accounting /Finance or IT with knowledge of theories, principles and concepts. Master’s or MBA preferred
- Overall 10+ year of experience in a business facing or business function roles
- Strong proven track record of project and program management
- Sound understanding of a company’s business and technology strategies and established business process areas and the ways in which technology may impact and enhance business processes
- Strong technical skills to be able to evaluate technology and process alternatives
- Good written skills as well as high interpersonal skills
- Strong problem analysis and influencing / networking skills
