Analytical Development Chemist

                      

Your Role: 

  • Developing and Validating test methods for APIs/Advanced Intermediates etc.
  • Preparing analytical method development reports.
  • Preparing analytical method validation protocols and reports.
  • Writing and reviewing SOPs.
  • Liaising with third parties on equipment or analytical test issues/requirements.
  • Troubleshooting analytical issues. 
  • Assisting with route cause analysis (RCA).
  • Maintaining complete and accurate records.

 

Who you are:

Education:

  • Essential: Third Level Qualification – Science / Chemistry (analytical) discipline or equivalent (B.Sc. M.Sc. Ph.D.).
  • Desirable:  Experience in a wide range of analytical techniques, particularly HPLC & GC.

Experience/key achievements:

  • (Desirable: Circa 3-5 years’ experience in a method development/validation role in an FDA/HPRA regulated environment preferred.

Skills

  • Experience of development and validation in the Pharma Industry.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with fluent English.
  • Understanding of cGMP environment and regulations.
  • Skilled in the use of computers.
  • Experience in electronic document management systems.

 Essential:

  • Understanding of cGMP environment and regulations.
  • Proven experience of method development and validation activities in accordance with ICH guidelines/industry best practice.
  • Fluent in English – written and oral.
  • Good attention to detail.
  • Experience in a wide range of analytical techniques.

 Desirable: (skills which may enable the role holder to be more successful in this role)

  • Open Lab experience.
  • Experience in electronic document management systems.
  • Stock control/purchasing experience.

 

Additional Information;

  • Environmental conditions: Ability to travel on an infrequent basis to cross-company or vendor training programs.
  • Physical requirements:  General level of fitness i.e. fit for work.
