Your Role:

  • Performs all routine and relevant laboratory techniques in compliance with BioReliance regulatory standards.
  • Maintain and operate all laboratory equipment with some troubleshooting, as required.
  • Perform various cell culture operations for the production of cGMP cell banks.
  • Maintains thorough records in addition to peer review of batch records.
  • Performs tasks in accordance with SOPs, regulations (cGMP and GLP) and all relevant documents.
  • Utilizes correct cGMP documentation practices.
  • Revise batch records, standard operating procedures and FMDCs.
  • Create new SOPs and FMDCs as needed.
  • Demonstrates proficiency in various computer programs for routine tasks such as generating cell bank reports and expansions, ordering supplies, and creating deviation and out-of-specification reports (Word, Excel, Oracle Applications, Oracle Discoverer, Trackwise, etc.).
  • Responsible for generating deviations as required and participating in resolving investigations with support of other team members.
  • Maintains a standard up keep of the facility through daily cleaning.
  • Actively performs equipment and general housekeeping daily checks and notify relevant personnel of any issues.
  • Actively maintains a clean, tidy, and safe work environment
  • Schedule routine activities and maintenance.
  • Initiates and completes projects independently.
  • Troubleshoots during routine laboratory activities.
  • Utilizes problem solving skills and may rely on lead/manager for additional support.
  • Exercises good judgment.

Who you are:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • BA/BS Degree in Life Science discipline
  • 1+ years working in a laboratory environment

Physical Attributes:

  • Ability to lift 50lbs
  • Required to wear lab garment/gown (protect against lab chemicals)
  • Attendance is required for afterhours and weekends.
  • Must be flexible in accommodating availability of lab work as per Laboratory Schedule. This means the employee may be required to start either early morning or may need to stay late evening to complete the lab work.
  • Weekend work is required on a per needed basis. At least once per month
