The BioMonitoring business field of MilliporeSigma is focused on supporting the microbiology needs of the Pharmaceutical and Biotech Industry that manufacture therapeutics, vaccines, and diagnostic products.

Your role: The ideal candidate will be a scientist/microbiologist/molecular biologist with an in-depth knowledge and understanding of pharmaceutical and/or biotechnology quality control, validation, regulatory requirements, and quality assurance. Familiarity with GMP Validation, quality control processes and manufacturing of pharmaceutical products is a plus. The emphasis would be on the quality control programs required in pharmaceutical / biotechnology production environment. Having achieved success in a business-to-business sales role within a dynamic environment, you thrive on providing exceptional service to existing customers while also “hunting” for new business in the BioM Pacific Northwest territory (N CA, OR, WA, MT, ID, WY, CO). In addition, the ideal candidate is results-oriented, passionate about what they do, works with a sense of urgency, stays focused, and works well on a team. Position requires up to 70% travel.

Who you are:

Basic Qualifications: 

  • BS/MS in microbiology, molecular biology, pharmaceutical sciences, or related life science discipline
  • 3+ years of experience in sales environment involving direct selling, account management, and prospecting for new business for a technically-oriented company

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proven success in establishing internal and external customer relationships at various decision-maker or influencer levels that demonstrates an understanding of the sales process
  • Demonstrated experience in preparing and implementing tactical business plans at territory and account levels to meet or exceed operating plans
