Your role: UV filters are inorganic / organic solid or liquid components widely used in cosmetic formulations in order to protect the skin against harmful UVB, UVA rays, High Energy Visible and Infrared Light.
In order to objectively elaborate their properties, such as emulsion stability, skin feel, transparence, photo stability, SPF/ UVA-PF performance various methods are used and require a solid knowledge in physic and chemistry. A new in vitro SPF method proposed by Cosmetic Europe should be compared with the existing methods.
Furthermore, the work includes the evaluation of actives like anti-inflammatory, tanning agents, antioxidants and anti-aging raw materials of synthetic or natural source into different cosmetic formulations (e.g. emulsions, gels, water free formulations, masks, powders, shampoos, lip sticks), elaborating their influence and writing of work protocols.
Who you are:
- Student (Bachelor) in Chemistry/Cosmetic Science, Pharmacy, or a related field.
- High interest in the cosmetic industry
- Knowledge of laboratory techniques for working at the bench with strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills
