Your Role: Reporting to the Media Process & Technology Manager, the Media Process Chemist is responsible for the control, optimisation and development of existing processes through short & long-term projects. Responsibilities include the introduction of new products or processes into the Media production operation as required, develop in-depth knowledge of the Media Chromatography Manufacturing Plant, setup appropriate process control measures and tracking of same, recommend/design/document appropriate trial activities in association with Production, R&D and Quality to reduce cycle time, increase yield, improve both safety and product quality, evaluate new technology and raw materials which may be considered for use and support the management of the plant BoMs & Routings, Change Control, develop expertise in Oracle & SAP
Who You Are:
- Chemistry to Primary Degree or Postgraduate Level.
- Previous experience within Biotechnology or Chemical processing environment.
- Knowledge of chemistry of affinity chromatography would be advantageous.
- Ability to work effectively within a team environment.
- Be project focused with excellent organisational skills.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, strong cross-function interaction.
