Your Role: Your job will be the characterization and identification of impurities as small as 1 µm (for comparison: the diameter of a human hair is approximately 80 µm). Your training will involve various state-of-the art analytical methods (e.g. optical microscopy, Raman microscopy, infrared microscopy, electron microscopy with micro-elemental analysis and other methods). Additionally, you will learn how other analytical techniques that are available in our company or at external partners, like coupled chromatographic techniques, NMR, elemental analytical techniques and surface analytical techniques, are necessary to resolve analytical tasks. In addition, you will take part in the evaluation and testing of new analytical procedures and methods.
Who you are:
- You are currently studying chemistry, physics or analytical sciences in the second half of your studies
- You show initiative and very good organizational and communication skills
- A broad knowledge of instrumental analytical methods and computer skills are required
- Excellent spoken and written English and/or German is imperative
