Your role:

The Strategic Communications Manager will provide valuable support to a variety of areas, including internal and external global communications with a primary focus on supporting the Global Head of Communications and Corporate Responsibility, as well as the Business Partner to Integrated Supply Chain Operations. This role will also include responsibility for some event and logistics planning projects, as well as content curation and management for various areas of our life science business.

The Strategic Communications Manager’s primary focus is to provide support to Life Science’s Global Head of Communications and Corporate Responsibility. This role will also include responsibility for internal and external global communications, some event and logistics planning projects, as well as content curation and management for various areas of our life science business. Additionally, this role will support the Integrated Supply Chain Operations function with a focus on various strategic projects within our manufacturing, distribution and supply chain teams.

As there are both internal and external components to this position, this individual will work across lines, liaising with both sub-teams within our Corporate Communications and Life Science Communications team, as well as the Leadership teams for both. This individual will liaise with both sub-teams within our Corporate Communications and Life Science Communications team, as well as the Leadership teams for both. Additionally, this role will support the Integrated Supply Chain Operations function with a focus on various strategic projects within our manufacturing, distribution and supply chain teams.

  • Creation of presentations related to external stakeholders and critical internal meetings
  • Organization of business forum meetings and content creation
  • Writing of speeches and preparing executive summaries of reports
  • Content creation for internal as well as external social/digital channels
  • Assisting with internal communications logistics and event planning
  • Drafting articles related to corporate/business news, milestones and events
  • Work with in-house design studio to execute projects as assigned
  • Support special projects and initiatives
  • Creation and maintenance of intranet pages

    Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in English, Communications or Journalism or related degree required
  • 5+ years working in a Communications role

    Preferred Qualifications:

  • Very strong written and verbal communications skills
  • Global communications working experience preferred
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Multi-task oriented with strong organizational skills
  • Ability to balance multiple responsibilities 
  • Intermediate PowerPoint and Excel skills
  • Strong SharePoint skills
  • Previous experience managing social channels
  • Professional demeanor
  • Video production experience a plus
