Your Role: As the Manager Controlling you are a key business partner responsible for working internally with cross-functional teams on strategic priority projects, such as pricing, launch products and scenario analyses. You will support Business Units and Head of Controlling with preparation of the Quarterly Business Reviews (QBR) and actively work with Business Units to ensure monthly Sales and Opex targets are met. You will review and analyze monthly performance with Business Units and support departments, gathering meaningful comments to accompany actual and forecast submissions and prepare and distribute monthly Cost Centre + Internal Order Reports (incl. Statistical Orders), including (where relevant) GL Details.
You will be responsible for month end close process, including timely / accurate journal entries, approval of Inventory Obsolescence, true-up of sales provisions, and review of monthly Income Statement for accuracy and work with the Market Access team to complete government pricing submissions. You will work with responsible for quarterly rebate payment calculations and approve cheque requests / finance invoices, ensuring proper supporting documentation is attached. You will provide information as requested for any internal and external audits by corporate or external regulators and tax authorities and ensure internal controls and compliance are enforced, with strong collaboration with Finance Operations organization.
You will also have a proactive partnership with key stakeholders to ensure optimized use of financial resources in alignment with strategy to maximize profitability and sustainability and support business partners by reviewing, analyzing and challenging assumptions for corporate submissions such as Operating Plan (OP) and Quarterly Forecasts (F1, F2, F3).
Who You Are: You have a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with a CPA Accounting designation favorably regarded. You have a minimum of 7 years relevant work experience preferably in a multinational organization. Biotech or Pharmaceutical experience is preferred. You have a strong technical knowledge with the ability to learn new concepts rapidly and are able to support multiple projects and deal with short timelines. You have advanced skills in data analysis with strong leadership skills and ability to address critical and challenging situations. You also have knowledge of software including Microsoft Office (especially Excel) and SAP experience in Finance and Controlling modules.
