Your role: As an Infrastructure Linux Administrator, you will be responsible for the design, build and implementation of infrastructure solutions for Unix / Linux Domain and serve as the highest level of technical escalation point within the North America/South America region. You will fix, troubleshoot and propose improvements to project deliverables and assist the project manager in the definition of project scope and objectives ensuring technical feasibility. You will perform functional analysis of solutions as part of developing the initial project requirements. Be responsible for the completion of manuals for the handover of the infrastructure to the Operation team and you will proactively identify SME areas of operational weakness and propose service improvement plans.
Who you are: You have the ability to work in complex and international remote teams and handle multiple tasks & projects simultaneously. You have the ability to design high availability solutions and have familiarity with different virtualization engines like powervm, vmware, and kvm. You possess excellent infrastructure technical communication and reporting skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field or equivalent work experience
- 10+ years of experience into Unix / Linux infrastructure support
- SME skills on either REDHAT and SLES with performance analysis and tuning capabilities, required
- SUSE SMT / Redhat Satellite / LDAP server/ Samba / DNS / mail server config/ SuSe Manager experience, preferred
- Experience with Ansible / salt stack / python / scripting, preferred
- Security hardening standards implementation - PCI/CIS, preferred
- ITIL certification and Incident/change/problem management experience, preferred
- Knowledge of GxP quality systems and Infrastructure, preferred
- Project Management skills & certification, preferred
- Willingness to work in shifts and on call support
