Your role:

As Senior Payroll Specialist for Germany you are responsible for support and performance of the payroll processing function, including entry and maintenance of payroll related data. You conduct 4 eyes principles and ensure accuracy for payroll data entries. You deliver best in class customer services by answering payroll related inquiries and build partnerships with peers, HR Business Partners and internal clients. You handle complex tax and social security tasks and function as point of contact for external authorities if necessary. You focus on continuous improvement/optimization opportunities and take ownership for their implementation. You are responsible for updating procedures and work instructions when necessary to achieve optimal operational efficiency.You participate in transitioning payroll processes into our HR Shared Service Center. This will involve planning, process documenting, work-shadowing and stabilizing processes.


Who you are:

  • 3+ years of experience in German Payroll in an HR Shared Service Center
  • Fluent German is a must and very good knowledge of English is required
  • In-depth knowledge of systems and technology that support payroll (SAP HCM)
  • Specific payroll expertise and strong knowledge in legal regulations, social security and tax system (and favorably collective agreements) in Germany
  • Focus on continuous improvement opportunities related to efficiency and payroll best practice and bring forward to Payroll Supervisor
  • Ensure consistent utilization of company policy, standard operating procedures and ensure compliance with legal requirements
  • Experience in analyzing, designing, documenting and transitioning HR processes to HR SC
  • Strong operational skills
  • Proactive and customer-focused attitude
  • Analytical, problem solving and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to organize time efficiently by prioritizing work and concentrating on key tasks
