Your role:

As a Trade Compliance Analyst, you will responsible for ensuring Merck’s compliance with regulations and laws applicable to the Life Science business of Merck, protecting the company from liability. Additionally, this position provides expertise on Regulatory and Trade Compliance topics.


General Scope of Responsibility:

  • Provides expertise advice to ensure proper evaluation of regulations applicable to products and services provided or under development for Merck LS.
  • Plans and manages Trade Compliance activities on both new and in-line products in accordance with applicable regulations.
  • Maintains relationships with local authorities and industry associations relevant to the Life Science business of Merck and trains local teams in Regulatory and Trade Compliance topics.
  • Supports regulatory activities to establish and maintain site compliance with requirements from relevant authorities.
  • Supports regulatory activities related to compliance with customs requirements from relevant authorities
  • Support tariff code definition and maintenance for both new and in-line products
  • Supports order screening activities to assure Trade Compliance actives.
  • Supports the audit of clearance documents to verify that the correct information and procedures were used for the importation of products
  • Supports reporting activities to assure compliance with applicable regulations.
  • Supports the monitoring of new or changed legislations that impacts the business of Merck LS and communicate stakeholders in the organization accordingly


Who you are:

  • Graduated in Pharmacy, Chemistry or relatives
  • Solid experience in the Trade Compliance and Regulatory Affairs area
  • Fluent in English
