Reporting to the Regional or Cluster Distribution Manager, the Distribution Analyst will lead DC improvement initiatives to achieve efficiencies and overall improvement efforts within the warehouses and logistics flows.

 

Your role: An existing new opportunity has arisen to join our company as Distribution Operation. You will serve as team member of strategic projects and partner with key functional areas including Planning, Finance, Customer Service, & Manufacturing.  This role will establish and maintain project and goal tracking systems for the Distribution Organization while working with the North American Distribution staff in Project Management tools and techniques.

 

Responsibilities of this role will include: collaborate with colleagues to devise innovative solutions to customer problems and overall Global Operations process improvement opportunities through strategic thinking, critical thinking and analysis. You will work closely with regional & global counterparts to formulate and implement best business practice models, develop new business strategies around NA Operations with a concentration in Logistics & Distribution Systems Alignment. Conduct data analysis to support all projects in all domains of strategic development for logistics and distribution functions (i.e., Third Party Logistics Partners, Acquisition integrations, warehouse and logistics automation (WMS, TMS, etc.)  This role will require data management through a combination of data mining, data modeling, data analysis, cost/benefit analysis, process mapping, and/or problem analysis; while executing day to day processes related to assigned area of responsibility. Develop and maintain cost estimates, forecasts, and cost models.

Additionally, you will standardize global practices within Distribution facilities (in-house or outsourced) and any acquisition integration activities, along with solve problems by considering courses of action within the framework of management’s goals and standards.

 

Who you are: Must demonstrate strong understanding of the business and key market drivers that have an impact on Distribution as well as other related functions.  Possess a strong track record as a change agent and innovator in developing and deploying new strategies. 

 

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, engineering, international transportation and/or and logistics or High School Diploma/GED or AA and 5 years related area of equivalent work experience.
  • 8+ years’ experience in Logistics and Transportation in a regulated global manufacturing environment, preferably in the medical device or a technology focused industry
  • Willingness to travel 10% domestic and internationally with ability to travel on short notice

 

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong PC & Analytical knowledge, with proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint is required. Experience in Oracle or SAP and Business Objects reporting a strong plus.
  • Lean Six Sigma experience and PMP Certification is preferred
