We are seeking a self-starting individual to take ownership of our Lab and Specialty Chemicals Opportunistic Production Materials growth. In this role, you will be expected to take ownership of our LSC opportunities for custom and variable SKU opportunities with focus on production materials. Will be working with commercial and customers to determine product specifications and requirements, working with internal partners to define viable options, cost/pricing, delivery schedule, quotes, and coordinating with commercial to successfully position the quote to match the customers’ needs. This position will be supporting all geographies where the individual will be the point of contact for the Commercial and the Operational/Supply Chain teams for order fulfillment issues that requires Product Management support. Additionally, innovative approaches to creating and conducting global trainings for commercial teams, web content to aid customer with buying decision, valuable product literature content, tools etc. to empower sales teams is desirable. Data analysis skills and comfort with a variety of IT systems is required for carrying out competitive activity, market dynamics, sales data and business strategy modeling and implementation.
*Travel required approximately 10%.
Who You Are:
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or Life Sciences.
- 3+ years of experience working in a scientific work environment
- Strong self-starter with a strategic mindset
- MBA Preferred
- Product Management experience supporting marketing/business development/commercial sales desired.
- Experience in Project Management, including excellent time management skills, organizational skills and the ability to multi-tasks with high degree of independence
- Experience working with customers to understand their needs and develop solutions
- Ability to analyze market, portfolio and sales data is highly desirable.
- Effective communicator with ability to influence in a complex organization
