Your Role: Seeking a dynamic individual with excellent networking, communication, and presentation skills, plus a passion for analytical chemistry, to join the Analytical Sciences Liaison (ASL) team, part of the Advanced Analytical (AA) business of MilliporeSigma. The primary role is to provide AA support to the Sales organizations in North America (USA, Canada) that serve Applied markets: testing labs (clinical, food & beverage, environmental, etc.), industrial accounts (food & beverage, chemical, etc.), and diagnostic kit manufacturers. This requires interacting with Field Sales Specialists, Regional Field Marketing, and Product Managers, helping each to be successful promoting the AA portfolio. Tasks include providing input into Marketing campaigns and collateral, plus organizing and executing training, on-site seminars, webinars, and customer visits. A secondary role is supporting Technical Service and other ASL members as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) within your area(s) of analytical expertise. The location is flexible within USA/Canada.
Who You Are:
- B.S. degree in a natural science with 7+ years professional experience
- General knowledge of these analytical chemistry areas: sample prep, chromatography, spectroscopy, titration
- Excellent networking, communication, and presentation skills
- Able to work independent
- Willing to travel up to 20% of time (mostly USA/Canada, some international)
- B.S. degree in analytical chemistry or chemistry
- 12+ years total professional experience, including 4+ years hands-on analytical chemistry and 4+ years customer-facing (sales, marketing, technical service, management, etc.)
- Deep working knowledge (Subject Matter Expert-level) of 2+ analytical chemistry techniques (SPE, SPME, HPLC, TLC, GC, IC, UV/Vis, ICP, titration)
- Fluent in Spanish a plus
