Ensure that all aspects of product release meet analytical, production, packaging and labeling specifications in accordance with established quality systems. Support the maintenance, development and improvement of GMP and/or ISO 9000 quality systems such as auditing, training, change control, complaint handling and documentation control.
Responsibilities for this position will include but are not limited to: Ensuring product and process consistency; Actively participating in the development, implementation and improvement of Quality Systems; Performing internal audits as needed; Assisting with complaint handling and investigations, as well as customer notifications when necessary; Identifying opportunities for process improvement; Remaining up to date on regulatory requirements, as well as company and corporate quality policies through means such as intercompany meetings, webinars, email services, etc.; Providing complete and accurate records consistent with quality guidelines; Training personnel and act as a technical consultant as needed.
- Occasionally required to wear appropriate protective gear (goggles/glasses, gloves, safety shows) when visiting the manufacturing, laboratory or packaging areas.
- Required to sit, stand, hear and use hands to operate all office equipment.
- Must view computer monitors for long periods of time.
- Occasionally will be required to lift, generally no more than 25 pounds.
Who you are:
- Bachelor’s degree in a life science discipline (i.e. chemistry, biology, etc.) – OR – Associate degree in a life science discipline (i.e. chemistry, biology, etc.) and 2+ years laboratory work experience – OR – High School Diploma/GED and 4+ years laboratory work experience
- GMP and/or ISO 9001 experience desired
