This Sales Support position involves working in a dynamic, fast paced, high energy, and rewarding team environment. In this role you will be responsible for ensuring each transaction is processed within MilliporeSigma guidelines, values and customer specifications. As a Pricing Analyst, you must have the ability to learn and master a number of different skill sets.
In this role you will execute, maintain, and resolve issues relating to customer specific pricing and freight programs negotiated by sales and marketing within appropriate systems, including but not limited to SAP, Oracle, Lotus Notes, Vendavo, and Salesforce.com. Interact with sales team to provide daily end-user support for pricing systems and processes. Serve as a subject matter expert and educate sales and marketing personnel regarding pricing processes, required documentation, and the pricing and freight capabilities of the ERP and pricing systems. Review contract, agreement and RFP/RFQ/RFI proposals for pricing, freight and rebate offerings and determine whether offerings are supportable by current processes and systems and help prepare the formal response to the customer.
The Pricing Contracts Specialist will also track expiration dates of contracts, pricing and freight programs and provide performance reporting to assist sales personnel in the preparation of new and/or revised programs for customers. Prepare pricing and/or freight impact, savings, and performance reports in support of agreement and contract activities and requirements. Assist in improving pricing systems and processes and in measuring the impact of improvements.
This person produces work that is well executed, accurate, and attentive to detail and take initiative and ownership of your work to ensure best-in-class service and respond to inquiries and resolve issues quickly, competently, and professionally.
Interacts extensively in a team environment and interfaces with supporting departments including Research and Applied Sales, Customer Service, Research Sales Support, E-Catalog, Cash and Collections, and Customer Master. Adapt quickly to frequently changing applications and departmental and divisional policies and procedures. Be flexible with the work schedule to meet the needs of the organization as required. Who you are:
- Bachelor’s degree with 1+ years of experience in a customer service, sales support or customer support role OR 5 years of experience in a customer service, sales support or customer support role
- 5+ years of experience working in MS Excel
- Experience with SAP, Oracle, BI/BW, and Vendavo
- Able to work independently and accurately, with a strong attention to detail
- Highly motivated and organized, with attention to prioritizing incoming tasks and workload
- Demonstrate strong interpersonal communication and written skills, proactive problem-solving abilities, and the capability to multitask effectively
- Able to interact effectively with the sales team and various levels of management
- Able to meet the challenges of a fast-paced, high-energy environment, while maintaining a strong level of professionalism
- Strong knowledge around MilliporeSigma's organizational structure, business practices and customer base
