At MilliporeSigma, the Planning and Scheduling Specialist is responsible for developing, adjusting, and maintaining the packaging schedule for our Dekalb facility. In coordination with the packaging department, you will work to ensure highest levels of service for our customers through your prioritization of work, problem solving and overall review and knowledge of our supply chain. This role will require you to work closely with stakeholders both up and down stream in efforts to improve processes and overall customer experience. While you will have a specific focus for the Dekalb facility, there will be regional as well as global collaboration needed to find the optimal solutions for the company as whole. There will also be interaction with upper level management to communicate strategies, elevate problems and ensure collaboration across various departments to foster a culture of customer focus and continuous improvement.
Who You Are:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Mathematics, Supply Chain Management or other related Business discipline with 3+ years’ experience in inventory control, supply chain, forecasting or planning scheduling or Master’s degree in Business, Mathematics, Supply Chain Management or other related Business discipline.
- 3+ years’ experience with MRP/DRP
- APICS certification or equivalent
- Experience in an operations planning and scheduling role
- Proficiency in SAP and Access
- Ability to communicate with peers as well as with upper management
- Leadership ability
