You role: As Head of Learning US & Canada - you will be responsible for leading, delivering and assisting with the vision for learning and development at EMD Millipore within a dynamic organization.

You are responsible for creating a modern and future-oriented learning portfolio within the US & Canada by adapting & implementing global learning solutions and programs to the regional market as well as designing and implementing regional  learning offerings under consideration of the newest learning trends and methods and in strong alignment and cooperation with Innovation HR.

The Head of Regional Learning for US & Canada also provides Learning and Development consultation to HR Business Partners and Business Leaders, designs and delivers solutions/tools to meet local needs, and partners with HRBPs to help build capabilities in the organization aligned to the business strategy. The ideal candidate will lead the organization on a journey of assessment of the current programs in place and recommendation for the future deliverables in for North America learning.  

Stakeholder management (Business, Innovation HR, Sector HR, business…) as well as consulting and enablement will be key elements of your area of responsibility. Besides that, being part of a global matrix organization with the other regional learning colleagues will determine your daily workflow.

Oversee training curriculum design and implementation including Global Instructor-led Sessions, Management programs and other development programs in alignment with local training needs.

Find appropriate vendor solutions for local customization and global implementation and evaluate external learning vendors, negotiate and leverage for cost advantage.

Who you are:

Minimum Qualifications : You have a bachelor’s degree. You have a minimum of 5 years+ of HR background. 8 Years of professional experience. You have advanced knowledge of learning & development environment. You have proven management / leadership experience. You have proven and demonstrated project management skills and are used to lead (local) and work in (global) projects. You are an innovative and creative thinker. You have a highly cooperative mindset in a global matrix organization, demonstrated success in position(s) involving senior stakeholders' relationships. You have a clear sense of accountability and you are proactive in the style of working. You have a strong business and customer orientation, a solution-oriented mindset when facing obstacles, and a commitment to teamwork to share and develop best practices globally and strong facilitation and demonstrated influencing capabilities. Requires approximately 10% travel

Preferred Qualifications :  You have a bachelor’s degree. Advanced degree preferred. You have a minimum of 5 years+ of HR background with preferred experience in Learning and Development. 8 Years of professional experience. Experience in the biopharma industry. You have advanced knowledge of learning & development environment. You have proven management / leadership experience. You have proven and demonstrated project management skills and are used to lead (local) and work in (global) projects. You are an innovative and creative thinker. You have a highly cooperative mindset in a global matrix organization, demonstrated success in position(s) involving senior stakeholders' relationships. You have a clear sense of accountability and you are proactive in the style of working. You have a strong business and customer orientation, a solution-oriented mindset when facing obstacles, and a commitment to teamwork to share and develop best practices globally and strong facilitation and demonstrated influencing capabilities.
