Your role:

 

In this role as a Sales Support Specialist you will be required to interact with internal and external customers from quotation generation through the Purchase Order processing phase. You will perform research using a variety of different databases including MilliporeSigma’s customer history database, service management database, contract management database, installation database and financial database. All of which store inquiries and information that MilliporeSigma has received from a customer and/or prospective customer.

 

In addition, you will consult with Field Service Engineers, Technical Service, and/or Application Specialists to ensure that items are quoted accurately prior to customer delivery. Work closely with Order Management team to ensure that quotations are entered accurately and follow up regularly to ensure that product is shipped as required.

Support and back up all responsibilities of the MCS team and contact customers to follow up on Purchase Orders.

 

Who you are:

 

Basic Qualifications:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Chemistry or Biology or related field of study
     
    OR
     
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent with 2+ year’s work experience in sales or customer service field.

 
Preferred Qualifications:

 

  • Previous customer service experience preferred.
  • Strong typing skills preferred.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Prefer working knowledge of Oracle, Lotus Notes applications, Saleforce.com (or similar CRM system).
  • Ability to prioritize, schedule effectively, and meet deadlines
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic team environment
  • Highly attentive to detail
  • Ability to work independently, as well within a team.
