The primary purpose of this position involves performing and supporting chemical processing under GMP conditions.
The operator 4 will be responsible for manufacturing APIs and intermediates in the kilo labs and pilot plants. He/she will provide support to the managers, supervisors, and other team members in a multi-shift manufacturing environmengt. The individual will understand material presented in safety, manufacturing, and other realted training sessions. They must demonstrate proper lab safety practices, and work in accordance with FDA, OSHA, EPA, DNR, DOT, and other regulatory agency guidelines.
The candidate must be able to effectively operate production equipment and maintain the safety and cleanliness of the production areas and all related equipment during each shift, and excercise potent compound handling techniques. The individual must demonstrae a basic understanding of proejct-related tasks as well as plant, lab, and facility-related capabilities.
The candidate will adhere to SAFC ethical and behavioral standards as outlined in the employee handbook and become a role model for other employees through superb work habits and excellent occupational behavior.
- Associates degree in Chemistry or science related field
- May substitute education for qualified experience
- GMP experience
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
- Mechanical aptitude. Basic mathematical skills.
- Ability to read and understand written protocols.
- Ability to operate forklift or hand pallet truck.
- Basic understanding of chemical reactions and hazards.
- Ability to operate hand tools, lab equipment, calculator and weighing and measuring devices.
- Basic understanding of ISO and GMP quality systems.
- Attention to detail.
- Ability to provide answers to process problems.
- Ability to train or mentor new employees or co-workers.
