The primary purpose of this position involves the safe and efficient manufacturing of API’s according to cGMP requirements.
The senior associate production scientist will be responsible for manufacturing APIs and intermediates in the kilo labs and pilot plants. He/she will provide support to the managers, supervisors, and other team members in a multi-shift manufacturing environment. The individual will author, utilzie, and train employees on a wide cariety of written procedures, including batch record and Op’s with limited supervisor assistance. Tje employee will receive limited instruction on routing work. They will also peform specific safety, amnufacturing, and other realted training sessions for production and PD staff memebrs. They must demonstrate proper lab safety practices, and work in accordance with FDA, OSHA, EPA, DNR, DOT, and other regulatory agency guidelines.
The candidate must assist with problems of moderate scope in which analysis of a situation or data requires an evaluation of identififable factors. The candidate must also exercise judgement within generally defined practices and proceudres in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions. The candidate must work well in a team environment and be an effective leader of a manufacturing project team (PD through production).

- BS in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Chemical Engineering, or equivalent, but may substitute education for qualified field experience.
- 2+ years hands on organic synthesis experience, GMP experience desired. Successful completion of advanced organic chemistry is preferred but relevant experience can be substituted.
